To Leif and Bjørg Trønnes, 10 dairy cows, 4 calves, chicken, and Frida (Boarder Collie)
We serve coffee and vaffels between 12 and 5 pm during the 8 weeks we are staying at the saeter (summer farm). Dependent on the weather and the spring we move up with the cattle at Mid-summer, 24. June, and down to the farm in the last week of August.
We make Pultost (white cheese with salt and caraway) and Rømme (soured cream). In good times we have Surmyssmør (concentrated whey) and Gubbost (soft sweet brown cheese). We are not yet authorized by the Food Hygiene Authority, but we are working on it. When snow and cold come in November Bjørg makes Sirupstynnkake.
You can rent saetra during the period between 1.November and 24.June, for some days, a weekend or a week. In the Winterhouse there is shower, toilet, washing machine and dish-washer. Total 8 beds, in 3 houses. |
